John F. Hodge, Sr.

Hodge, Sr., 74, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022.

He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie A. (Lisi) Hodge.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late William J., Sr. and Genevieve (Reilly) Hodge.

John was a graduate of William E.

Tolman High School in Pawtucket in 1967 and went on to study at Johnson & Wales University where he received his bachelor’s degree in business.

He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War where he served as the Captain of a River Patrol Boat.

John was a recipient of the Purple Heart for injuries received in combat, the Bronze Star, and several other decorations.

John was the Vice President of the grocery division for a food broker and the President of the L Street Running Club.

He was an avid marathon runner and enjoyed playing golf.

Besides his loving wife, John leaves three sons, John “Jake” F.

Hodge, Jr. and his wife, Kristyann, of Lancaster, PA, Christopher P.

Hodge and his wife, Amy, of Raynham, MA, and Patrick B.

Hodge of Providence; five grandchildren, Aidan, Liam, Brooke, Gabrielle, and Penelope; five siblings, Genevieve, William, Jr., Thomas, Patricia, and Eileen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He was the brother of the late Mary Hodge-Fitzpatrick.

John was also a friend of Bill W., having proudly celebrated thirty-five years of sobriety.

John’s funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at St.

Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.

VISITATION will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
