Carlos, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Mulry) Carlos for fifty-seven loving years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Frances (Foster) Carlos.
John was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, and he went on to a career in textile production.
John served as the president of Globe Narrow Fabrics and subsequently as the vice-president of Coventry Narrow Fabrics.
More recently he served as the assistant safety director of J.
Lynch Construction Company, from where he retired several years ago.
John also served as the president and as a coach for the Lincoln Rams Youth Football.
He enjoyed playing racquetball at Fore Court Raquet & Fitness Club in Cumberland, bowling and deer hunting.
Above all, John was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past eighty-two years.
Along side his beloved wife, John leaves two children, Michael J.
Carlos and his wife, Kim, of Foster, and Cynthia A.
DeSousa and her husband, Carlos, of North Smithfield; three grandchildren, Jake, Connor, and Addison; three siblings, Rosemary Flynn (the late Bill Flynn) of Lincoln, Marilyn Love and her husband, Bill, of Billerica, MA, and Nancy Sinotte and her husband, Bob, of Wakefield, RI, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Cathy Frazier and Tommy Carlos.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Services on Friday, April 26th at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
VISITATION will be held on Thursday, April 25th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
