Cumberland – John F. Carlin, 92, formerly of Cumberland and most recently of Cortland Place Assisted Living, Greenville, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Hilda (Mason) Carlin. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late John and Jessie (McNally) Carlin, he resided in Cumberland for many years. John was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He was vice-president in Charge of Operations at Louis Regnier Associates, Providence until retiring in 1985, and was previously a sales representative for Royal Typewriter, Providence for 20 years. John enjoyed being involved in the Arnolds Mills 4th of July Parade Association, and also as a volunteer firefighter with the Arnolds Mills Fire Department. He leaves a son, John F.
