John C. Abreu

Pawtucket – John C. Abreu, 72, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. He was the loving husband of Maria F. (Santos) Abreu and the late Ilda Abreu. Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was a son of the late Virgilho and Maria (Campanario) Abreu.

John worked as an auto mechanic for Planet Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM in Walpole, MA, Bond and Dodge in Stoughton, MA, and Foley Chrysler Dodge in Quincy, MA. John enjoyed fishing, flea markets, cars, and loved to follow Phantom Gourmet. He will be remembered as an exceptionally hard worker, talented mechanic, and a dedicated husband, brother and uncle.

Alongside his wife, he leaves behind his sister, Maria “Connie” Abreu, many beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his brother, Virgilho Abreu.

VISITATION will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 9:15AM to 11:15AM at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12Noon in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will be private.
