Todd, 43, of Blakeslee, Pennsylvania and formerly of Attleboro, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 after a courageous five year battle with cancer.

Jody was a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in paralegal studies, and received a Bachelor of Science from Roger Williams University.

She was formerly employed by the Textron Corp., Providence, RI; Merrill Lynch, New York City and Sanofi Pasteur, Swiftwater, PA.

Jody was an avid cook; loved to travel and spend time with her family, friends and her horse, Blondie.

She was a member of the Pocono Animal Rescue League and a survivor of the September 11 World Trade Towers attack.

She leaves behind her husband, Gerald Rizzo; four grown step-children, Jerry, Jeannette, Laura and Joseph Rizzo all in Pennsylvania; her mother, Dorothy Jo Phillips of South Attleboro and her late stepfather, Wayne “Poppy” Phillips who helped raise her; her father, Peter Todd of West Warwick, RI; her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Leon Kanosh of Riverside, RI; two nephews who were very special to her, Bailey and Ethan Kanosh of Riverside, RI; many aunts and uncles, including Rocco and Alma Proia of Attleboro, MA, who also helped raise her; a great-aunt, Dorothy Newman of Seekonk, MA; a longtime friend, Kathey Marsella of North Attleboro, MA and her horse, Blondie.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 27th at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 91 Cottage St., Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to either the Pocono Animal Rescue League, P.O.

Box 582, Bartonsville, PA 18321 or the College Education Fund for her two nephews, Bailey and Ethan Kanosh, the two things most dear to her heart.
