Joao M. Almeida

Almeida, 48, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Manuela (Aguiar) Almeida for twenty beautiful years.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Jose J. and Maria F. (Botelho) Almeida of California.

Joao immigrated to the United States in 1995 and settled in California before relocating in 2000 to Rhode Island.

He settled in Pawtucket where he met his wife and made a home for his family.

Joao had a strong work ethic and worked as a landscaper for Johnson Landscaping, Pawtucket, for twenty-one years.

He was a communicant of St.

Anthony Church, Pawtucket, and a faithful volunteer within the Holy Ghost community.

Joao was a happy, family man, who enjoyed life to the fullest and was always the life of the party.

His presence and laughter will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Besides his loving wife and parents, he is survived by three children, Samantha E.

Almeida and stepson, Brian Valerio, all of Pawtucket; six siblings, Mario J.

Almeida and his wife, Adelaid, of Sao Miguel, Paulo S.

Almeida of California, Pedro A.

Almeida and his wife, Grace, of Sao Miguel, Manuel J.

Almeida and his wife, Candy, of California, Carlos M. and Stephanie M.

Almeida, also of California and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and dear friends, near and afar.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in St.

Anthony Church, 32 Lawn St., Pawtucket, followed by a private interment.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
