Joann Dorothy Peace

Seekonk, MA – Joann Dorothy (Minor) Peace, 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was the cherished wife of Robert Russell Peace for sixty years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Mary (Hylek) Minior.

Joann graduated from Tolman High School in Pawtucket and received her L.P.N. degree from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Providence. She also received her associate’s degree from Johnson & Wales University and attended the University of Rhode Island. Joann served as an L.P.N. at Swansea Pediatrics for nearly twenty-five years and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a strong advocate for animals and had a particular love for cats.

Alongside her husband, she leaves behind her sons, Michael Peace (Kerri) of Pascoag and David Peace of Seekonk, MA, and grandchildren, McKenzie Peace and Kyleigh Peace.

She was predeceased by her brother, John Minor.
