Joan Reis

Seekonk – Joan (Lamoureaux) Reis, 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

She was the beloved wife of Edward G.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late William N. and Gertrude E. (LaForest) Lamoureaux.

Cecilia School, Pawtucket.

She was a switchboard operator at Pawtucket City Hall for many years until retiring, and was previously a crossing guard for the Pawtucket School Department.

Joan enjoyed making ceramics and cooking.

Above all, she enjoyed spending time at home with her family.

Besides her beloved husband, Joan leaves four children, Steven E.

Reis, Sr. of Seekonk, Gary R.

Reis and his wife, Beth of Pawtucket, Cindy A.

Threlfall of Sarasota, FL and Sharon A.

Valentine of Scottsboro, AL; nine grandchildren, Steven, Jr., Nicholas, Michael, Adam, Linsey, Corey, Shelby, Alison and Erin; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Gage and Lily and her twin sister, Janet Daneau.

She was the sister of the late William, Robert and Normand Lamoureaux.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

VISITATION will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m.
