Joan Sandra Kratochwil

August 12, 1945 — April 20, 2025

Pawtucket – Joan S. (Bator) Kratochwil, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles P.

Kratochwil for fifty-two years.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Aminda (Ferrini) Bator.

Joan attended Tolman High School, Pawtucket, and was a lifelong resident of the city.

She worked in the dietary kitchen at Grandview Center, Cumberland, for five years prior to retiring.

Joan enjoyed playing slot machines at Twin River Casino, Lincoln, and sharing her time with friends.

Her heart was always full for her family, especially tending to her grandnephews, Oden and Leonitis, who she helped raise.

Joan was selfless in nature and would often put the needs of others before her own.

Her kind spirit and willingness to help others will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by three loving sisters, Diane Benoit and her husband, Alan of Pawtucket, Gail Bator of Cumberland and Sharon Bator of Pawtucket; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

She was the sister of the late Carol Wilks, Joseph Bator, Jr. and Walter “Buddy” Bator.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m. in WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with her late husband will follow at Mount St.

Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Calling hours will be hosted on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St.

Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St.

Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
