Vanti, Jr., 86, formerly of Hughes Ave., passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of the late Helen T. (Durand) Vanti.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Jean T., Sr., Edna (Wallis) Vanti and Mary (Ritrovato) Vanti.
Jean was a Korean War U.S.
Army veteran and a member of the RI Army National Guard, retiring as Command Sergeant Major.
He was a member of the RING Retirees Association and served on the committee to erect the RING Monument at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Jean was also employed by the City of Pawtucket as a heavy equipment operator for many years until retiring.
He was a lifelong communicant and volunteer at Holy Family Parish.
He leaves two daughters, Susan M.
Tenney and her husband, Michael of Nashua, NH and Patricia A.
Iannotti of Warwick; two sisters, Rosalie B.
Locke of Franklin, MA and Virginia E.
Demers of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Nathan Tenney, Katherine Tenney and Hunter Iannotti and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Andrew R.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Joseph Church, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
VISITATION will be Sunday 2 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the RING Retirees Association Memorial Fund, 645 New London Ave., Cranston, RI 02920 would be appreciated.
