Pawtucket – Jean T. Vanti, Jr., 86, formerly of Hughes Ave., passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen T. (Durand) Vanti. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Jean T., Sr., Edna (Wallis) Vanti and Mary (Ritrovato) Vanti. Jean was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran and a member of the RI Army National Guard, retiring as Command Sergeant Major. He was a member of the RING Retirees Association and served on the committee to erect the RING Monument at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Jean was also employed by the City of Pawtucket as a heavy equipment operator for many years until retiring. He was a lifelong communicant and volunteer at Holy Family Parish. He leaves two daughters, Susan M. Tenney and her husband, Michael of Nashua, NH and Patricia A. Iannotti of Warwick; two sisters, Rosalie B. Locke of Franklin, MA and Virginia E.
