Jean D. Birtwell

Pawtucket-Jean D. (Pailthorpe) Birtwell, 94, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved and devoted wife of William L. Birtwell. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and M. Emaline (Morrow) Pailthorpe. Jean enjoyed crocheting, especially for all her newborn family members. Her love and strength was the guiding light for her family, creating a strong and unbreakable bond. She was a lady who loved unconditionally with a comforting voice and big heart. Her pleasant personality was contagious and she was loved by so many. She is survived by four children, Barbara Girard and her husband Al of Barrington, Carol Hodnett of Stuart, FL, Bruce Birtwell of Seekonk, MA and Susan Chace and her husband William of Rumford; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
