Family and friends, As the concerns over the Corona virus continues to grow, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have been recommending that people over the age of 60 and especially those over the age of 80 take extreme precautions; including limits on public gatherings, recommending frequent hand washing and social distance to put brakes on the immediate spread of the disease.
The CDC is recommending that people at higher risk avoid crowds, touching “high-touch” surfaces in public areas and close contact with people who are sick.
With that said, we have a significant number of family and friends that will be attending Janice Hallal’s memorial service tomorrow that are considered to be at high risk of contracting the virus.
Rather than put these individuals at further risk, the Hallal family asks that you refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands during tomorrow’s ceremonies.
A simple smile and nod of expressed sympathy will be all that is required.
We understand that this is not a typical practice; however, we know that everyone in attendance is there to pay their respects to Janice and the family.
Please know how much we appreciate your love and support by you just being in attendance.
We ask that you respect our family’s wishes and take the necessary precautions to keep all of our loved ones safe from this very unpredictable disease under these trying circumstances.
Thank you in advance for respecting our family’s request.
