She was the beloved wife of the late Henry J.

Smith and the late Thomas P.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Harold “Bert” and Margaret “Rita” (McCluskie) Bernard.

Janet had resided in Pawtucket and Richmond before moving to Warwick eight years ago.

She was a Medical Secretary at the former SJ Radiology, Cranston, until retiring.

Janet enjoyed attending wine tastings and was a member of the Hillside Association, Richmond, RI.

Above all, she treasured her family and the moments spent with them.

She leaves two children and their spouses, Charlene A. and Donald Landry of Paramount, CA and John A. and Rebecca Specht of Warwick; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Carol Vanesse and James Bernard.

Relatives and friends are invited to VISITATION on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Services followed by interment at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, will be private.
