Allen Courtois, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of David N.

Courtois for thirty-four years.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James F.

Allen, Jr. and Ann H. (Rowse) Allen.

Janet resided in Pawtucket until moving to North Attleboro in 1985.

She had attended the University of Rhode Island and was employed by Gregg’s Restaurants for over forty years.

Janet started with Gregg’s as a waitress and went through many marketing and managerial positions including Director of Front of House Operations and most recently Training Coordinator.

She was a Certified ServSafe Instructor and was also an active member of the Rhode Island Hospitality Association.

Janet was very involved with the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, Pawtucket, and also did volunteer work through Gregg’s Giving Tree.

She enjoyed horseback riding, but most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.

Besides her husband, she leaves twin sons, Michael A.

Courtois of Boston and David C.

Courtois of Cumberland; a sister, Jo Ann R.

Petersburg, Florida; three sisters-in-law, Claire Riley and her husband, Ron, of South Carolina, Dr.

Christine Courtois and her husband, Tom Haug, of Delaware, and Dawn Allen of Pawtucket; nieces and nephews, Alyssa A.

Allen of Pawtucket, Christopher Riley, Brian Riley, both of South Carolina and Kaitlin Townsend of North Carolina and many dear friends.

She was the twin sister of the late James E.

Allen who passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

VISITATION will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
