Pawtucket - Jamie Sousa, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Tammi L. (Thibeault) Sousa having celebrated twenty-eight loving years of marriage this past May 9th and his beloved and devoted canine companion, May Lynn.

Born in Providence, he was a son of Adelia (Medeiros) Sousa of East Providence and the late Arsenio Sousa. Jamie was the proprietor of Jamie's Performance Muffler Shop on Alden Street in Pawtucket and had a passion for cars and supporting many racing teams in the New England area. He was an avid marksman and a member of the East Warren Rod & Gun Club. He was also a member of the Pawtucket Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary. Jamie loved fishing, spending time with family, watching movies, and always looked forward to "Friday night, date night" on Thayer Street for pizza with his beloved wife, Tammi.

Jamie will be lovingly remembered for being an all-around good and kind man. Jamie's heart was described by his mom, as "larger-than-life" and he had and unfailing willingness to help friends and family alike. Jamie will be missed by all and remembered fondly by all whose lives he has touched over the past fifty-five years.

Besides his mom and his loving wife, Jamie leaves his siblings, Dennis Sousa and his wife, Jennifer, of North Providence, Arsenio Uhrig of Dighton, and Nicholas Uhrig of Warwick; his father-in-law, Chuck Thibeault, Jr. of Pawtucket, cherished first cousins, nieces and nephews including Charles IV, Trey, Montana-Lyn, Hannah, Jonathan, Makayla, Nicholas, Jordan, Bella, Imogen, Sara, and Jessie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 12th at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, August 11th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. To celebrate Jamie's life, his family asks that attire for the services are colorful, bright and cheerful or support Jamie's passion by wearing your favorite racing apparel.
