James E. Silva

Pawtucket – James E. Silva, 70, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Liberal and Veronica (Fitta) Silva. Jim was a graduate of Bryant University and went on to a career as the warehouse supervisor at Nyman Manufacturing for many years. He was a longtime communicant of St. John Paul II Parish (St. Cecilia Church) in Pawtucket, where he was actively involved in the parish. He was a past grand knight for the St. John Paul II Knights of Columbus Council #12613. Jim was an active participant in many of the council’s events and parish ministries. He enjoyed reading, following sports and spending time with family and friends. Jim is survived by three siblings, Lois Kaplan of Burrillville, William Silva of East Providence and Robert Silva and his wife, Dawn, of East Providence; he also leaves many nieces and nephews and his godchildren, Danielle Mathieu, Dawn Marie Cochran, Nicole, Alyssa and Hannah Silva.
