Pawtucket – James E. Russell, 73, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Janice M. (Carmichael) Russell. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 19, 2016. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late John J. and Dreda C. (Rogers) Russell, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life. Jim served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a die cutter at Herff Jones, Warwick until retiring in 2008, and was previously employed by the L. G. Balfour Company, Attleboro. Jim was a member of the Balfour Gold Dusters; an avid guitar player and a former member of St. Cecilia’s Choir. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Deborah J. Boscombe and her husband, David of Norton and Karen E. Russell of Pawtucket; two grandchildren, Katharine and Christopher Boscombe and several nieces and nephews.
