James "Bud" H. Barrowclough

Pawtucket – James “Bud” H.

Barrowclough, 95, formerly of Crescent Road, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Miriam Hospital.

He was born May 17, 1919 and lived his entire life on Crescent Road.

He is predeceased by his parents, James H. and Ida A. (Mitchell) Barrowclough; his siblings, Ruth E.

Barrowclough, Frederick E.

Barrowclough and Dorothy B.

Creelman and his lifelong companion, Helen Conlon.

Bud served in the U.S.

Navy for 3 years during World War II.

He saw a lot of action during this time in the South Pacific.

Bud drove a landing craft into several South Pacific invasions.

He was a machinist at Okonite for 38 years until retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his nephew, Fred and (Audrey) Barrowclough and nephew, Duncan and (BJ) Creelman; grandnieces and nephews, John (Ann) Barrowclough, Jim (Nancy) Barrowclough, Susan (Don) Snyder, Elaine (Gary) Pitcher, Linda (Dean) Perry, Scott (Joy) Creelman, Laurie (Ron) Warren, Kathy King, Dawn (Steve) Huston, Robin (Bob) Fox, and Richard Barrowclough; 40 great-grandnieces and nephews and 9 great-great-grandnieces and nephews.

Many members of Helen Conlon’s family who were so close to Bud are Billy Truchon and Lynn Topp, Marty Truchon, Maryann and Dick Messier, Elizabeth and Frank DiGregorio, Betsy Balzano, Arlene Echols, Jim Echols and Paul Echols.

Several of his closest friends are Jan and George Woodhead, Rick and Jane Storin, Diane and Ernie LeCroix, III, Ernie LeCroix, Stephanie Mezzanotti, Lennie Driscol, Peter and Kris Kilmartin, Joyce Gemme and Randy Gemme.

A special thanks to Dr.

Kim Amin and his staff for taking care of him for so many years.

Also to be remembered is the fine staff at The Highlands on the East Side for looking after all his needs.

His nurses Taylor and Jessica were always there to help him.

VISITATION will begin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. followed by Services at 12:00 noon at CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
