James F. Day, Jr.

Day, Jr., 77, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

He was the beloved husband of the late Helen M. (Twohig) Day.

Born in Cumberland, he was a son of the late James F., Sr. and Dorothy (Ball) Day.

Jim proudly served aboard the USS Tanner in the United States Navy.

He held several managerial positions at Raytheon for many years until retiring in 1986 and then went on to be the proprietor of an auto mechanic shop.

He enjoyed spending time at casinos and auto shows.

Jim was an avid fisherman who loved antique cars and the beach.

He leaves three daughters, Donna Dicenzo and her wife, Concetta, Darleen Joseph and her husband, Scott, and Christine Feld and her husband, Robert, Jr., all of Pawtucket; a sister, Loretta Bellotti; a brother, Dennis Day; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He was the father of the late James F.

Day, III and the brother of the late William and Richard Day.

Relatives and friends (limited to 85 attendees with face-coverings or masks) are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with Military Honors at Notre Dame Cemetery will be private.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
