Cumberland – Jacqueline M. Gorab, 70, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012. Born in Chile, South America, a daughter of the late John A. and Esma (Hamwey) Gorab, she resided in Cumberland most of her life. Jackie proudly declared herself a United States citizen at the age of twenty-one. She was the Office Manager at the Horace Mann Company, Franklin, Massachusetts, for fifteen years until retiring due to illness in April of 2012. She was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Pawtucket and St. Mary’s Ladies Society. She leaves two daughters, Marlene M. Bettencourt and Sheryl A. Peacock; a son, David G. Matook; five grandsons, Dylan Peacock, Alex Bettencourt, Jeremy Peacock, Kyle Bettencourt and Brady Peacock; two sisters, Marlene Samra and her husband, Dr. Joseph J. Samra and Patricia Kilsey and her husband, Steven Kilsey and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
