Pawtucket – J. Raymond Vadnais, 80, passed away peacefully in Providence on Monday, June 17, 2013. Born in Central Falls, the son of the late Raymond and Angelique (Genereux) Vadnais, he resided in Pawtucket for the past 34 years. He was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart Academy, Central Falls and Providence College, Class of 1954. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a 1st Lt., principally in Europe as a French Translator. He was an avid fan of Friar Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed a 35-year career with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., retiring in 1992 as a Claims Supervisor. He was a longtime communicant and benefactor of St. Cecilia Church, Pawtucket. Mr. Vadnais is survived by several cousins including, Mary (Duffy) Langlois of Boston, Jay Duffy of North Attleboro and David Duffy of North Kingstown.
