Isaura M. Tome

Pawtucket – Isaura M. (Medeiros) Tome, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose D. Tome. Born in Sao Miguel, Acores, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Cordeiro) De Medeiros. Isaura immigrated to the United States twenty years ago and settled in Rhode Island with her family. She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland, for many years. Isaura was active in the Grupo Amigos da Terceira, Pawtucket, and made lifelong friends within that community. She was a social butterfly who loved surrounding herself with the younger generation, especially her children’s friends’, who she considered family. Isaura was a talented seamstress and made all her children’s clothing by hand and specialized in making wedding gowns.
