Pawtucket – Irene A. Tremblay, 89, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Tremblay, they were married 60 years at the time of his passing in 2016. Born in Providence, Irene resided in Central Falls, until moving to Pawtucket in 1956. She was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Anna (Kmiec) Jassak. Irene was a graduate of Bryant College and worked as a clerk for the Pawtucket School Department for 17 years until her retirement. She leaves four children, Edward K. Tremblay and his wife, Genevieve, of Bellevue, WA, Joan Tremblay of Pawtucket, Annie Hoffman of Seattle, WA and Mark J. Tremblay, Sr. and his wife, Ana, of Pawtucket; six grandchildren, Kara, Amanda and Mark all of Pawtucket, Madeleine, Olivia and Kirk all of Bellevue, WA and a great-grandson, Gavin Gagnon of Pawtucket.
