North Attleboro – Irene M. (Amyot) Roy, 91, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 18, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Edward T. Roy for seventy-one years. Born in Killingly, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Ladislas and Mary (Faucher) Amyot, she resided in South Attleboro before moving to North Attleboro in 1976. Irene was an inspector at Texas Instruments for twenty-eight years until retiring in 1989. Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters and their spouses, Mary Ellen and Dr. Walter Reeder, Norma and Richard Mathieu, all of Loudon, Tennessee, Karen and Daniel Lamond of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Tracey and Steven Kiley of Norton, Massachusetts; a sister, Rita Pion of Cumberland, Rhode Island; nine grandchildren, Renée Hamling, Christopher Boden, Christine Hall, Kevin Boden, Dr. Michelle Belvin, Katherine Blackburn, Kerry deBoer, Nicole Kiley and Tara Kiley, fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
