Irene M. King

To View Mass of Christian Burial Via Livestream Please Click Link East Providence – Irene M. (McGinn) King, 94, of Riverside, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 16, 2021.

She was the beloved wife of Russell P.

The couple celebrated their seventy-fourth wedding anniversary this past April.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Irene (Morneau) McGinn.

Irene resided in East Providence most of her life until retiring and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, for thirty years.

She returned to Riverside five years ago.

Irene and her husband had been the proprietors of King’s Fuel Oil, Nationwide Termite Control, Rhode Island Pest Control, Superior Fence Company and Risk Free Home Improvement until retiring.

She enjoyed playing cards and was a charter member of the East Providence Voters Social Club.

But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Besides her loving husband, she leaves three sons, Wayne M.

King and his wife, Janet, of South Carolina, Russell Kevin King of North Smithfield and Brian V.

King of East Providence; a daughter, Kathleen L.

Holiday and her husband, Richard, of East Providence; a sister, Leona Johnson and her husband, Robert of California; seven grandchildren, Troy King, Marc King, Sean King, Jennifer Winfield, Stephanie Silva, Crystal Viveiros and the late Joel Delgado; seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Skyla, Michael, Braelyn, Noah, Jackson and Logan and nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Patricia Wischnowsky.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 9 a.m. in St.

Brendan Church, 60 Turner Avenue, Riverside.

Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
