She was the beloved wife of Russell P. King. The couple celebrated their seventy-fourth wedding anniversary this past April. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Irene (Morneau) McGinn. Irene resided in East Providence most of her life until retiring and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, for thirty years. She returned to Riverside five years ago. Irene and her husband had been the proprietors of King’s Fuel Oil, Nationwide Termite Control, Rhode Island Pest Control, Superior Fence Company and Risk Free Home Improvement until retiring. She enjoyed playing cards and was a charter member of the East Providence Voters Social Club. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
