Irene R. Godek

East Providence – Irene R. (Brin) Godek, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Murphy Godek, Sr. for 54 years. Born in Central Falls, she was one of five children of the late Romeo and Ester (Hamil) Brin. Irene enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved nature, but most of all she was a devoted mother to the end. Irene leaves two sons, Murphy Godek, Jr. of Riverside and Murry Godek of Lincoln; one daughter, Claire Hunter of South Attleboro; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Michael and Russell Godek. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mt.
