Irene E. Charrette

Pawtucket – Irene E. (Fugere) Charrette, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond R. Charrette, Sr. for fifty-five beautiful years. Born in Pawtucket, she was one of nineteen children of Philias T. and Beatrice (Picard) Fugere. Irene was a faithful communicant of St. Cecilia Church, Pawtucket, and a lifelong resident of the city. She devoted her life to raising her children and tending to the family home. She enjoyed a good game of Bingo and was dubbed a card shark for her incredible gaming skills. Irene was surrounded by an incredible support system of friends through the Amvets Post 33 of Pawtucket, and the wonderful folks from Hide-Away-Cove Family Campground of East Killingly, CT. She is survived by five children, JoAnn Benoit and her late husband, Bill, of Seekonk, MA, Susan Rosenlund and her husband, Derek, of Oregon, Raymond R.
