Born in Bukoba, Tanzania, she was the daughter of the late Jashbhai and Lalitaben Patel. Mrs. Patel immigrated to the United States in 1983 and settled in Pawtucket with her family. She worked for the former Elizabeth Webbing Co., Central Falls and Texas Instruments, Attleboro, MA. Mrs. Patel was a strong, active and selfless woman, who, along with her husband had a keen sense of recognizing those in need and would extend themselves to help in any way they could. She enjoyed spending time with her family and entertaining in her home. She is survived by a daughter, Sheetal Patel and her husband, Ronak Patel, of Pawtucket; three brothers, Jitendra, Pravin and Yogesh Patel; two sisters, Hasuben and Madhuben Patel and many nieces and nephews.
