Pawtucket – Ildefonso Carrion Rosa, 76, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Minerva (Hernandez) Carrion for fifty-five loving years. Born in Vieques, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Alfonso and Virginia (Rosa) Carrion. Ildefonso was a devout Catholic and was a longtime communicant of St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish in Pawtucket. He worked for many years as a machinist at Collyer Wire in Lincoln and subsequently at B.A. Ballou in East Providence from where he retired several years ago. Ildefonso was a talented carpenter and enjoyed working around his home where he himself made many home improvements. He also loved following sports and was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Above all else, he was a true family man, and was devoted to his wife, a loving father to his children and a proud grandfather to his many grandchildren.
