Ildefonso Carrion Rosa

September 16, 1946 — January 8, 2023

Pawtucket – Ildefonso Carrion Rosa, 76, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Minerva (Hernandez) Carrion for fifty-five loving years.

Born in Vieques, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Alfonso and Virginia (Rosa) Carrion.

Ildefonso was a devout Catholic and was a longtime communicant of St.

Cecilia Church of St.

John Paul II Parish in Pawtucket.

He worked for many years as a machinist at Collyer Wire in Lincoln and subsequently at B.A.

Ballou in East Providence from where he retired several years ago.

Ildefonso was a talented carpenter and enjoyed working around his home where he himself made many home improvements.

He also loved following sports and was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

Above all else, he was a true family man, and was devoted to his wife, a loving father to his children and a proud grandfather to his many  grandchildren.

Ildefonso will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past seventy-six years.

Besides his beloved wife, he leaves two children, Denise Squire of Pawtucket, and Ronald Carrion and his wife, Christy, of Pawtucket; five  grandchildren, Brady, and Kayleigh Squire, Ryan, Victoria, and Aaron Carrion; two brothers, Jose Carlos, and Guillermo Carrion Rosa; two sisters, Criseida and Virginia Carrion Rosa and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Alberto, Ramón, and Santiago Carrion Rosa.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church of St.

John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.

VISITATION will be held Friday, January 20th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to either the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
