Pawtucket – Idola (Ross) Riley, 99, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Saturday, May 27, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Riley.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Emile and Marie Anne (Pariseau) Ross.
Idola worked for the United States Navy in the Department of Procurement as a civilian employee during World War II, and later worked as the executive secretary at J.C.
Hall Company for many years until her retirement.
She was a longtime communicant of St.
John Paul II Parish (St.
Leo Church), Pawtucket and prayed with the parish’s Legion of Mary.
Idola enjoyed cooking and spending time with her beloved family.
She leaves a son, Kenneth F.
Riley and his wife, Marie M., of Pawtucket; a granddaughter, Sarah M.
Riley-Keck of Washington, D.C. and many nieces and nephews.
Idola was the sister of the late Ella Monteville and Beatrice Rouillier.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
John Paul II Parish (Church of St.
Leo the Great), 699 Central Ave.
Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
VISITATION will be Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the St.
John Paul II Food Pantry, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02861 will be appreciated.
