Hilde E. Krawchuk

Pawtucket – Hilde E. (Schuschke) Krawchuk, 102, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

She was the wife of the late Paul A.

Plathner and most recently, Walter Krawchuk.

Hilde was born in Breslau, Germany in 1921, she and her family settled in Attleboro, Massachusetts in 1948 and subsequently in Pawtucket in 1971.

Hilde enjoyed spending time with her family, and she loved nature, and the outdoors.

She cherished frequent visits to Slater Park where she would simply enjoy the outdoors, fresh air and reading the daily newspaper.

Hilde will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past one hundred and two years.

Hilde leaves her daughter, Jutta K.

Sorto, with whom she made her home in Pawtucket; four grandchildren, Susan Gity of Pawtucket, Richard Remieres and his companion, Manuel Silva of Peabody, MA, Michael and his wife, Lucy, of Pawtucket and David Remieres and his wife, Jennifer of Clarksville, TN; six great-grandchildren, Kevin and Scott Gity, Tyler, Michael, Miranda and Benjamin Remieres, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Werner Schuschke and Irma E.

Services and interment at Newell Burying Ground in Attleboro will be private.
