Henry "Hank" J. Fournier

March 9, 1944 — November 27, 2020

Seekonk - Henry “Hank” Joseph Fournier, 76, passed on at his home on Friday, November 27, 2020.

He was the beloved husband and soulmate of Carol A. (McMahon) Fournier for 54 loving years, together they would have celebrated their 55th anniversary on May 21.

Hank resided in Seekonk for most of his life.

He was one of eight children, born to the late Aime and Marie (Collins) Fournier.

Hank attended William E.

Tolman High School in Pawtucket, and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in April of 1961.

He served our country for four years, receiving a Good Conduct Award.

Hank was Honorably Discharged in December of 1964 and went on to continue his service in the Rhode Island National Guard.

Hank worked at Osram-Sylvania (formerly Corning Glass) for over 40 years before retiring as a Master Electrician and supervisor.

Hank will always be lovingly remembered as an amazing husband, fabulous father, and loving grandfather.

He always put his family’s needs ahead of his own.

Through his life and family challenges, Hank’s strength prevailed.

Besides his loving wife, Hank leaves three daughters and their husbands, Laura Viens and her husband, Michael of Seekonk,  Lynn Major and her husband, Edward, of Norton and  Michelle Herbert and her husband, Shane, of Leicester; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, a brother, Joseph Fournier; two sisters, Jean Bell and Annette Camacho and many nieces and nephews that were very close to him.

He was the brother of the late Claire Charbonneau, Armand Fournier, Edward Fournier and Dorothy Decatur.

Due to the current Covid restrictions, the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Seekonk and interment with Military Honors at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence will be private.

Flowers are respectfully omitted.

Memorial gifts to the ARC of Bristol County, 141 Park St., Attleboro, MA 02703 would be appreciated.
