Pawtucket – Helen E. (Monsur) Ameen, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward P. Ameen. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Tibbetts) Monsur of Michigan. Helen had resided in Pawtucket over seventy years. She was a member of St. Basil the Great Melkite Catholic Church of Lincoln and a member of the Tuesday Night Card Club that met regularly for over fifty years. She enjoyed the Hallmark Channel and life in Florida with her granddaughter, Lisa. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Helen is survived by three sons, Edward M. Ameen, Robert J. Ameen and his wife, Mary, and John D. Ameen and his wife, Jane; one daughter, Shirley A. McLaughlin and her husband, John, and thirteen beloved grandchildren and ten beloved great-grandchildren. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love and light of her life.
