Pawtucket – Hedwig “Hedy” M. (Schulz) Knight, 89, of Pawtucket and a summer resident Eastham, MA, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard H.
Born in Wormditt, Germany, Hedy came to the United States in 1947 and settled in Pawtucket.
She was a daughter of the late Josef and Johanna (Graeber) Schulz.
Hedy worked as the International Market Specialist at Nicholson File Co., Providence for 8 years and later was the Manager of the International Department at Citizens Bank for 15 years until her retirement in 1990.
She enjoyed writing short stories and was published in German Life Magazine.
Hedy wrote two Christmas stories for the Providence Journal and was a First Prize recipient of the International Poetry Society and a member of the World Trade Club.
She leaves 5 siblings, Rudolph Schulz and Helena Giese both in Germany, Konrad Schulz of Narragansett, Marianne Dalpe of Newport and Erika Palagi of Cumberland.
Hedy also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Karl-Heinz Schulz and Elizabeth Feuster.
VISITATION will begin on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by Services at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Children International, 2000 East Red Bridge Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131 will be appreciated.
