Harold C. Walmsley

Pawtucket - Harold C. Walmsley, 88, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Gladys M. (Arruda) Walmsley for 61 years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Alexander H. and Elizabeth E. (Christie) Walmsley. Harold was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the DAV. He was a 1949 graduate of Bryant College, and was the assistant director at the Department of Employment Security for thirty years until retiring in 1979. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Judy L. Dorsman and her husband, Abraham Dorsman, III of Schenectady, NY; two grandchildren, Alison Christie Brooks and her husband, Joshua Brooks of Delaware and Jeffrey Alan Dorsman of New York City and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alexander H. Walmsley and Joseph E. Walmsley. Services followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston are private.
