Gloria Y. Lamarre

Pawtucket – Gloria Y. (LaPlante) Lamarre, 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in her home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Roland J.

Lamarre for sixty years.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Albert R. and Marcelle (Adam) LaPlante.

Gloria was a faithful communicant of St.

Teresa Church, Pawtucket, and a lifelong resident.

She worked as an accountant for thirty-five years prior to retiring in 1989.

Gloria dedicated her life to her family and especially enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Robert J.

Lamarre and his wife, Lisa, of South Carolina, and Douglas A.

Lamarre of Pawtucket; a daughter, Susan M.

Vinhateiro and her husband, Kenneth, of Maine; two granddaughters, Bethany L.

Freitas and her husband, Marc, and Amy E.

Gingras and her husband, Matthew; five great-grandchildren, Theodore, Willow, Henry, Miles and Delta; a sister, Lorraine M.

McCaughey of Wakefield, and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of HopeHealth Hospice for their compassion and care.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with her late husband will follow at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter where masks are required.

VISITATION will be held on Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
