Gladys E. Clark

Pawtucket – Gladys E. (O’Brien) Clark, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late George L. Clark. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late James and Sarah A. (Hartley) O’Brien. Gladys worked as the credit manager for Sears & Roebuck for many years until her retirement. She was a Past-Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Queen Ester Chapter, No. 2, Pawtucket, and a current member of the Woonsocket Chapter, No. 3. Gladys enjoyed traveling and spending time at her summer home on Cape Cod. She leaves her sister, Freda J. Luther of Pawtucket; a step-son, Peter H. Clark, Sr.; two step-grandchildren, Peter H. Clark, Jr. and Kimberly A. Rowland and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James H. O’Brien, J. Clifford O’Brien, Doris Salisbury and Loretta “Lori” Marr. Services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Historic Swan Point Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Interment will follow in the family plot. Visitation and...
