Pawtucket – Gladys E. (Walters) Brown, 86, formerly of Oswald Street, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald W.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Salvatoria (Barone) Walters.
Gladys worked for the former FRAM Corp., East Providence for many years until her retirement, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Limerock Chapter.
Gladys was always happiest when she had her husband and all of her family around her.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who always put her family first.
Gladys will be remembered for her kind and gentle ways, her love of reading and knowledge, and for her beautiful smile.
She leaves five children, Donna L.
Reinsant and her husband, Jeffrey, Sr. of North Attleboro, Susan L.
Flannagan and her husband, William of Pawtucket, Douglas W.
Brown (Kesh) of Boise, Idaho, Donald W.
Brown, Jr. of Pawtucket and Scott A.
Brown and his wife, Jennifer of Kuna, Idaho; a brother, Frederick Walters and his wife, Marie of Attleboro; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Gladys was the mother of the late David A.
Brown, Sr. and the sister of the late Dorothy Downes and Clifford Walters.
VISITATION will begin on Monday at 2 p.m. followed by Services at 4 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 or the Joslin Foundation for Diabetes, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215 will be appreciated.
