Pawtucket – Gertrude R. (Gaudette) Hunt, 90, passed away on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 so she could dance with her sweetheart.
She was the beloved wife of the late William C.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Victor L. and Olivine B. (Deschesne) Gaudette.
Gert was a volunteer at the Blackstone Valley Soup Kitchen and she enjoyed dancing, playing cards and Bingo.
She leaves a daughter, Sandra L.
Brissette and her husband, Aime, of Pawtucket; a sister, Mary Jane Senecal of Providence, formerly of Central Falls; three grandchildren, William Brissette, Mark Brissette and Dawn Valentine and her husband, Scott; five great-grandchildren, Trevor Hodde and his wife, Kelsey, Marissa Valentine, Jared Valentine, Mark Brissette, Jr. and Meghann Brissette and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Therese Hull, Cecile “Sis” Coulombe, Charles “Emile”, Paul, George, Marcel and Maurice “Moe” Gaudette.
VISITATION will begin on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. followed by Services at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. (Please meet in the Administration Building Parking Area at 10:20 a.m.) In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center, 75 Benefit St., Pawtucket, RI 02861 would be appreciated.
