Attleboro – Gertrude A. (Swistak) Dufort, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 23, 2015.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A.
A lifelong resident of Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Antonina (Keurgen) Swistak.
Gertrude and her late husband, Joseph were among the founding families of the former St.
Mary Church, Seekonk, now Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Gertrude leaves seven children, Joseph A.
Dufort and his wife, Diane of Westport, MA, Mary Jayne Brillon and her husband, Roland of Attleboro, MA, James F.
Dufort and his wife, Dolores of Attleboro, MA, John D.
Dufort and his wife, Carolyn of Rehoboth, MA, Jerome D.
Dufort of Harpers Ferry, WV, Jay J.
Dufort of Attleboro, MA and Jo-Ann McCarthy and her husband, Matthew of Attleboro, MA; twenty three grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Swistak, Louis Swistak, Frank Swistak, John Swistak, Mary Koski, Victoria LaMarche and Ann Minutoli.
Services will be private.
Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
