Gertrude "Gert" A. Patenaude

Providence – Gertrude “Gert” A. (Gaudreau) Patenaude, 96, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice L. Patenaude who preceded her in passing in 1957. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Leontine (Paquin) Gaudreau. Gert worked for many years as a waitress until retiring at age 65. She enjoyed knitting, playing cribbage and following the Boston Red Sox. Gert leaves a daughter, Jacqueline G. Wudkiewicz; a son, Ronald M. Patenaude and his wife, Susan all of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Matthew Patenaude, Sandra Gauvin and Robert Wudkiewicz; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas and Victoria Gauvin and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Annette Guimont, Lauretta Blanchette and Arthur Gaudreau. VISITATION will begin on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame...
