Germaine Gertrude Genest

Pawtucket – Germaine G. (Bergeron) Genest, 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Roland J.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Lamoureux) Bergeron.

Genest was a faithful communicant of St.

John the Baptist Church, Pawtucket, where she assisted with their food bank and remained actively involved in the activities of the church.

She was a lifelong resident of the city and recently began attending the Leon Mathieu Senior Center in Pawtucket.

Genest loved playing Bingo, Scrabble and was quite the card shark.

She lived a long, healthy life full of traveling, RV Camping, tending to her wonderful family and always carried a grateful heart.

Her legacy will continue in the lives she has impacted over the last one hundred years.

She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Buteau and her husband, Kenneth, of Pawtucket; four sons, Gerard Genest and his wife, Dianne, of Attleboro, MA, Robert Genest and his wife, Barbara, of Taunton, MA, Arthur Genest and his wife, Karen, of Pawtucket, and Roger Genest and his wife, Tammy of Lincoln, ME; four grandchildren, Michelle Wain, Keith Buteau, Joshua Buteau, Sr. and Jessica Moran; six great-grandchildren, Madyson Wain, Joshua Buteau, Jr., Jackson Buteau, Trinity Genest, Kal-el Moran and Xzavier Moran, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Lorraine Genest, grandmother of the late Cheryl Bullerwell and sister of the late Sr.

Blanche Marie Bergeron, Jeannette Paquin, Edna Pyne, Loretta Cunha, Arthur Bergeron, Therese Marziasz, Lillianne Depot, Clarice McCormick and Gerard Bergeron.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St.

John the Baptist Church, 68 Slater St., Pawtucket.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St.

John the Baptist Church would be appreciated.
