Gerard "Jerry" R. Roy

Pawtucket – Gerard “Jerry” R. Roy, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Born in Central Falls, the son of the late Gerard Roy and Barbara G. (Lenox) Chickering. Jerry resided in Pawtucket for most of his life and worked as a schoolteacher after earning his master’s degree. He taught English at Woonsocket High School prior to becoming a guidance counselor until his retirement. Jerry immersed himself in different cultures and enjoyed traveling the world. He leaves his half-brother, David B. Chickering of Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts; a nephew, Ian Chickering and a niece, Sarah Chickering. Services will be private. Interment will follow at Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls. Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are entrusted with WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
