Attleboro – Georgette H. (Shwaery) Fitzpatrick, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francis F.
Fitzpatrick, Sr., who passed away in June of last year.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Esper A. and Ida (Thomas) Shwaery.
Georgette was a member of the Class of 1944 and graduated from Pawtucket High School East.
She went onto earn her degree from Hubbard Business School and graduated with honors in 1948.
Georgette worked as a bookkeeper for Squires Services Ltd. and Fieldbrook Properties for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed caring for her family and her home, and always enjoyed hosting family gatherings during the holiday seasons.
Georgette and her late husband also enjoyed attending the Newport Classical Music Festival at the Newport Mansions, the Boston Philharmonic at Tanglewood and polo matches in Newport.
She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends, and the many whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-six years.
Georgette leaves one son, Francis “Fitzie” F.
Fitzpatrick, Jr., and her grandson, Camden Fitzpatrick both of Attleboro; a brother, David Shwaery of Little Compton and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Lisa Ann Fitzpatrick and the sister of the late George Shwaery, Josephine Yaghoobian, Frederick Shwaery, Sr., Kenneth Shwaery and Lora Schroder.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend SERVICES on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Historic Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
Interment will follow in the family lot in Swan Point Cemetery.
Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
