George A. Shevchuk

North Attleboro – George A. Shevchuk, 79, formerly of Little Compton, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2023. He was the beloved son of the late Alexander and Nadia (Krawchuk) Shevchuk and stepson of the late Francoise (Croce) Shevchuk. George graduated from Attleboro High School and continued his education at Fitchburg State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in secondary education. George had an impressive basketball career with the Fitchburg State Falcons and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2014. He completed his studies at Northeastern University with a master’s degree in counseling psychology. George worked as a guidance counselor for Westwood school district in Massachusetts, and was also a successful licensed real estate agent. George enjoyed spending time in Little Compton, Rhode Island, especially on the beaches. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, dining out and spending time with his devoted family.
