George A. Salhany

George A. Salhany, 96, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Stella (Tkatzuk) Salhany, who passed away in September of 2000. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Elias and Helen (Barakat) Salhany. George was a United States Army veteran of the Second World War. He went on to work in his family business, the former Salhany’s Pharmacy on Japonica Street in Pawtucket. George was a devout Catholic who attended Mass daily and was a member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. He was also a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates, Lodge #4, Pawtucket, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus, Delaney Council. George will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past ninety-six years. May his memory be eternal.
