George T. Grenier

Pawtucket - George T. Grenier, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Lois G. (Giffin) Grenier for twenty-two years. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Gerard J. and Beatrice M. (Ducharme) Grenier.   George graduated in 1958 from Chelmsford High School, Chelmsford, MA, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked as a meat cutter for Market Basket for fifty years prior to retiring in 2020. George was a member of Park Place Congregational Church in Pawtucket and a longtime member of the American Legion, Attleboro, MA. George was a kind and friendly man who loved to volunteer at the Thrift Shop at Park Place Church.  In addition to his wife Lois, George is also survived by four children: Karen Grenier-Mernin and her wife Tracy of MA; Deanna Grenier-Mullins and her husband Sheldon of CA; Michelle Coombes and her husband Brian, of NH; David Grenier and his partner, David Smith, of VT;  and their mother, Patricia Grenier of NH.
