Grenier, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

He was the beloved husband of Lois G. (Giffin) Grenier for twenty-two years.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Gerard J. and Beatrice M. (Ducharme) Grenier.

George graduated in 1958 from Chelmsford High School, Chelmsford, MA, and was a U.S.

He worked as a meat cutter for Market Basket for fifty years prior to retiring in 2020.

George was a member of Park Place Congregational Church in Pawtucket and a longtime member of the American Legion, Attleboro, MA.

George was a kind and friendly man who loved to volunteer at the Thrift Shop at Park Place Church.

In addition to his wife Lois, George is also survived by four children: Karen Grenier-Mernin and her wife Tracy of MA; Deanna Grenier-Mullins and her husband Sheldon of CA; Michelle Coombes and her husband Brian, of NH; David Grenier and his partner, David Smith, of VT;  and their mother, Patricia Grenier of NH.

George also leaves behind two stepchildren, Scott McQueen and Sheryl Mendala (McQueen); seven grandchildren: Cameron Maples, Aemelia Maples, Ashleigh Echevarria (Perkins) and her husband Emmanuel Echevarria,  Rebecca Perkins and her partner Marc Coico, Erin Perkins and her fiance Aaron Cabral, Constance McQueen, and Alison Gould (McQueen); six great-grandchildren: Emmanuel Echevarria II, Arabella Echevarria, Genevieve Echevarria, Elaina Gould, Vance Gould, and Madeline Coico, all whom he adored, as well as two nephews, Thomas Murphy, Michael Murphy and one niece, Patricia Murphy, the children of his late sister, Diane Murphy.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held for all who wish to attend on Saturday, June 29th at 11:30 AM at Park Place Congregational Church, 71 Park Place, Pawtucket, RI followed by food, music and dancing (George loved to dance)!

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St.

Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St.

Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be greatly appreciated.
