Warwick - George A. Douglas, 75, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Ruth D. (Hall) Douglas for 34 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Almon P. & Jennie A. (Berghman) Douglas. George was in the US Army Reserve for 40 years and then became a civilian recruiter for the US Army, he had spent most of life in civil service. He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and was an avid coin and stamp collector. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Mark G. Douglas of Silverspring, MD, Jonathan A. Douglas of CT, Kyle T. Rhodes of Warwick; a daughter, Sherri – Lyn Giordano of Warwick and six grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Seekonk Cemetery. VISITATION Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
