Gary Eugene Callanan

Callanan, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 21, 2025.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of Eugene J.

Callanan and the late Julia R. (Coes) Callanan.

Gary graduated in 1983 from Xaverian Brothers High School, Westwood, MA and was a valued member of their golf team.

He worked as a skilled carpenter in the Portland, Maine area for many years.

Gary enjoyed fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and was a gifted artist.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his beloved son, Samuel “Sam” F.

Callanan and his former wife and friend, Marylyn Callanan, both of Wrentham, MA; two brothers, Jeffrey Callanan of Providence and Neal Callanan and his wife, Lynne, of Hudson, WI; a sister, Tara Puccio and her husband, Timothy, of Norfolk, MA; an uncle and dear friend, Peter Coes of Cummaquid, MA; four nephews, Nathan and Devon Callanan and Thomas and Jack Puccio; two nieces, Rose and Julia Puccio; lifetime friend of the family, Ann Miller of Framingham, MA and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be private.

Visitation and floral tributes are respectfully omitted.
