Fredrick "Fred" L. Fortune

Swansea – Fredrick L. Fortune, 64, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Joyce M. (Altham) Fortune for 33 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Robert and Mildred (Card) Fortune. Fred was a Vietnam War, US Army Veteran. He was an active member of the Grace Gospel Church, Swansea, where he was involved in several ministries; Worship Musician, Prison Ministry, Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Bus Ministry. Besides his loving wife, Fred leaves two sons, Scott P. Fortune of Warwick and Christian D. Fortune of Swansea; two grandchildren, Scott P., Jr. and Matthew L. Fortune; three brothers, Bradford, Daniel and Ronald Fortune all of Providence. He was the brother of the late Alan and William Fortune. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2011 at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
